    State Policies and Practices in School Education (SPPSE) 

 

The information sought through this form relates to some aspects of policy and practices on school education  in the state. The following aspects are covered in this form.

  • Stage-wise structure of School education

  • Requirements for admission of children to class I: minimum age, maximum age, date and month of attaining the required age.

  • Conduct of external examination at primary and upper primary stages.

  • Duration of academic session.

  • Working days in an academic session.

  • Availability in different incentive schemes; student category covered.

  • Availability of different types of scholarships; student category covered.

  • Policy of the state/UT on mid-day meal scheme.

  • Minimum prescribed qualification for recruitment of teachers at different stages.

  • Pay scales of different categories of teachers.

  • Criteria for providing teachers in schools.

  • Para-teachers working in the schools: designation, qualification and monthly emoluments.

  • Subjects offered at primary and upper primary stages: compulsory and optional subjects taught at secondary and higher secondary stages.
